Lazybrook – Convenience Awaits You

The Houston subdivision of Lazybrook is a wonderful, All-American neighborhood first developed in the late 19060’s. It is located “inside the loop”… This is what Houstonians refer to as an area within Houston’s famed 610 Loop freeway which is considered to be centrally located. It runs between West TC Jester and West 18th Street and any home is within 2-3 minutes of the 610 Loop, front door to entrance ramp. In fact, once you hit 610 you are very close to some of Houston’s most desirable areas:

  • The Galleria – 5 minutes
  • Texas Medical Center/Rice Village - 15 minutes
  • Downtown Houston/Midtown – 10 minutes
  • Houston Heights – 5 minutes

You cannot beat the convenience of the Lazybrook subdivision!

Homes in Lazybrook

As far as the types of homes you will see, for the most part, they are all traditional, ranch style homes. The average home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and boasts a 2 car garage with nice, large lots that average about 8,000 square feet. Recently, the average home for sale was listed for $284,000 and sold for $271,000 which is 95% of list price.

Our Friendly Neighbors

Our neighbors in Lazybrook consist of those who are original owners, such as my parents who built their home in 1971 and still occupy it. We have had an onslaught lately of new, young neighbors coming into the neighborhood. Most are young professionals who have young families and love the convenience of being in-town and so close to incredible eating spots, great grocery stores, shopping at the Galleria,  & the Theatre District, located downtown. If you are a sports fan, the homes of the Houston Rockets and Houston Astros: Toyota Center and Minute Maid Park are also located in downtown Houston. As I mentioned above in my bullet points, the world famous Texas Medical Center is no more than 15 minutes away and also within that area is the Rice Village and Reliant Stadium, home of our Houston Texans. Our neighbors also take great pride in the neighborhood and do a wonderful job of caring for their homes and yards.

Lazybrook is definitely a great place for you. Friendly neighbors and homes with beautiful curb appeal… Truly and “All-American” subdivision.
